Clean the mat gently with water and mild detergent and rinse clean
Wipe dry, lay flat and allow to air dry out of direct sunlight with the logo side facing up
Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasives as this can compromise the integrity of the mat surface
Allow the mat to dry completely before use
Pre or post practice, roll your mat with the logo side facing out as this will help maintain your mat’s grippiness
Avoid heavy sliding or movements that cause friction, as this may lead to the surface breaking down quicker
This mat is everything I hoped it would be. Nice cushion, amazing grip, easy to clean and not so bulky that I can't roll it up, put it in my bag and haul it around. If you're looking at mats, stop here and grab yourself a Mat Strong 6mm!
Thank you for your review Kris! So happy you're loving your B MAT as much as we do!
Just received my Strong and dig the extra padding, it doesn't seem to compromise balancing postures at all. Haven't done a sweaty class yet, but feel like it would hold up relatively well. All that said, the color I received (Cacao) is horrible. It's like a weird washed out purplish tan...nothing like the photos. Just feel like it was totally misrepresented on the site...kind of a silly gripe, but one nonetheless.
My favorite heated vinyasa teacher uses this mat and gave it great press, but I ordered it with some trepidation based on past experiences with other failed "grippy" mats. I sweat--I mean I freakishly sweat--during 60 min heated vinyasa classes (>95 degrees). My feet stayed put, but this mat, like so many others (I'm looking at you, Manduka), offered little to no traction for my crazy sweaty palms. I tried using a towel at the top of the mat like I did with the $20 sticky mat I used to use when I first started practicing non-heated hatha/vinyasa 20+ years ago, but no luck. On the plus side, this mat is really cushy and feels nice underfoot. It'll be great for yin, but for heated vinyasa I'm going to need to go back to my trusty old--and I mean old--Gaiam Performance Dry-Grip. 2.5 stars.
Thanks for your review. I would recommend giving our B MAT Cork a try if given the chance as you will find it a great fit for a hot vinyasa practice.
Have a great day.
This is my favorite mat!
I love yoga and have been practicing for years but always found yoga mats to be too thin for me and would hurt my knees. My husband bought me this mat a few years ago and it is perfect!
I recommend this mat to all my friends! One friend was visiting recently and tried my B mat out because she was slipping while in downward dog and is now going to purchase one herself.
I plan to purchase a second mat in the near future just so I can have one at home and one for the yoga studio… I’m OBSESSED!
Marianna, Happy to hear you love your B MAT! Thanks for sharing with your friends!
After breaking my knee cap 4 years ago, I need extra support under my knees. This mat is thick and supportive. It is nice and grippy, both for my sweaty hands but also on my hardwood floor. Doesn't move no matter what pose, practice or workout I am doing. I chose Ocean Green...beautiful.
